China's National Standardization Administration recently released the new national standard "Minimum Allowable Values of Energy Efficiency and Energy Efficiency Grades for Indoor Lighting Products", which for the first time includes narrow-beam LED downlights (spotlights), LED high bay lights and dimmable smart lighting products into mandatory energy efficiency regulation.
The new standard not only expands product coverage, but also raises energy efficiency requirements according to different application scenarios. For commercial LED downlights and spotlights commonly used in offices, retail and hospitality projects, the new standard will classify energy efficiency levels based on beam angle and power range. Products that fail to meet the minimum energy efficiency threshold will not be allowed on the market.
