Industry Research data shows that more than 35% of commercial LED installation projects now include occupancy sensing, daylight harvesting or automated dimming.
That share would have been hard to imagine a few years ago. Two realities drive it: sensor and driver costs have fallen to the point where adding sensing has a minor impact on total project price, and energy accounting has become stricter, with owners evaluating 'lighting plus control' as a package. The report notes smart LED luminaires save an additional 20-30% on top of standard LED systems.
For factories the impact is at product-structure level: demand for passive luminaires remains, but models with sensing and dimming interfaces are rising fast in engineering channels. Offering DALI or 0-10V dimming options on products may be the lowest-cost, most stable move.
